Sandy and all KELLEY/KELLY cousins with ancestors in Ohio, I planned to post my request about Ambrose KELLY of Preble Co, OH, just as soon as I finished reading the mail. Nice surprise to see Sandy also interested in an Ambrose KELLY. Ambrose D. KELLY bc 1800 m Eliza FLEMING Harlan 26 Nov 1839. They had one child, Jeremiah bc 1842. Jeremiah had two half siblings fromm Eliza's first marriage, John Gregg HARLAN and Nancy Elizabeth HARLAN Rothrock. In a FLEMING estate document, Eliza (FLEMING Harlan) Kelly is listed as a widow in a document dated 20 Jun 1846. Do you have any dates on your Ambrose? Eliza was cared for in her later life by her daughter Nancy. I do know from Nancy's will that Jeremiah was still living in 1880 when Nancy wrote her last will & testiment. However, I have found no trace of Jeremiah in Indiana. I think Jeremiah was maybe still in Ohio. I also think Ambrose died in Ohio. Just guesses. The Preble Co Courthouse has microfilmed all their guardianship and estate papers. FTM has a CD listing the papers available for copies ($0.50/pg) or you can write Nancy Crowell at the Preble Co Library and for a very modest fee, she will send you a list of documents available at the courthouse. I have a friend with the FTM CD, but she is on vacation this week. I will have her check for any information on Ambrose, Jeremiah and Sarah Ann Kelly.
