Hello I have a copy of a birth registration in County Longford, It gives the birth as Twenty Ninth of August 1865 Ballymauriee, Parish of Granard. I have tried to find a townland that comes close to the spelling of Ballymauriee, but have had no luck. Am I right in assuming that Ballymauriee is a townland. What would it sound like phonetically?
