I am still looking for the ancestors of John McNeill Kelly, born 21 Jan 1875 in Clarkton, NC. His father, James (middle unknown) Kelly died and was buried in 1910 in Valdosta, GA. John M. had family after that settled in the panhandle of Florida and in the West Palm Beach area. I have lots of information on the decendants of John McNeill and his wife Annie Holloway (b. Flora Home 7 May 1878), but have nothing on James, his spouse, siblings or parents. Anecdotal evidence has my Kellys marrying into the McNeills (lineage of James Abbott McNeill Whistler) in or near Brown Marsh Station (nowBladen County), NC in the mid 1800s. But I don't know whether they immigrated there or moved there from some other part of the US. I know the past four generations of Kellys have carried the McNeill name, and we've been predominantly Presbyterian, but I'm open to suggestions, corrections and comments.
