The Pennsylvania Gazette 1728-1800 "The New York Times of the 18 Century" April 30, 1730 The Pennsylvania Gazette ITEM #387 April 30, 1730 The Pennsylvania Gazette RUN away on the 25th of April last from Samuel Worthington of the Manor of Moreland in this County, two Servant Men, viz. Richard Bowen, aged 22 Years, well set, has short dirty brown Hair; a grey Kersey Coat and Jacket, woollen and worsted Stockings, and good Shoes. James Purnel, aged 30 Years, of low Stature, black Complexion, without Hair; he is bursten, and commonly wears an Apron to conceal it; also his little Finger, by reason of a Cut among the Sinews, stands streight, and will not bend with the rest; his Cloaths are much the same with those of Bowen described above. They have take with them two Guns, a pair of Boots, a Castor Hat, and a copper coloured Sagathee Jacket. RUN away at the same Time from Henry Comeley of the same Place, a Servant Man named Abel Philips, aged 24 Years, lusty and well sett, short black Hair, broad Face, large Nose, and small hollow Eyes; he has a coarse grey Kersey Coat and Wastcoat, Leather Breeches, a Light coloured Great Coat, good Stockings and Shoes. RUN away also at the same Time from Thomas Dussell [Duffell] of the same Place, an Irish Servant Man named Peter << Kelley>> , of middle Stature and well sett, black Hair, swarthy Complexion, much pockfretten; he has a home made brown cloth Coat, a grey drugget Jacket, and a thick Buckskin Jacket, leather Breeches, a blue great Coat with pewter Buttons, grey Stockings and good Shoes. He speaks good French. It is thought all four are gone together. Whoever secures the said Servants in some Goal, and gives Notice to their Masters, shall have Fifty Shillings Reward for each, and reasonable Charges paid, by S.
