Hi, I have found most of my dad family in Galway. He was Patrick J. Kelly and he was in the coal business in Queens,NY. (Just a little guy) His father was John Kelly from Ballinderry, and he use to send money back to the family in Ireland to help them out. He had 9 children here and my dad was the oldest. John died in 1916 when Patrick was only 18, that meant a big job had to be fill by him for his mother and sibblings. I as his daughter am very proud of him, as he help raise all his brothers and sister and married and had 8 children of his own. He also took on the job of sending money back to Ireland. I sometimes wonder how he did it. He was a one man business. In 1997 I had the pleasure to go to Ballinderry, Galway and meet many of his cousins who never met him and they treated me wonderful. They even had old pictures of my dad & mom and sister from 1920's, and they had never meet him, but they felt like they knew him due to his helping hand. Well it makes me think how did he ever manger the huge task that he took on. My dad is now gone 41 years and they still remember him in Ireland, this is what I call a Success story. Just Good Irishman's daughter. Lorraine
