Heman was born in 1790-80 in Ma, according to the 1830 NY census, he was between 30 and 40 years old. He married a Ruth Lapham in Dartmouth, Ma on 3 July 1823. They moved to Cayuga Co., NY in 1824. Here Daniel H. was b. 24 Aug 1825, Benjamin F. was b. 1828, Oliver L. was b. 7 Jan 1830, Adaline H. was b. 7 Jan 1832,and Susan Eliza was b. 27 Dec 1834. In 1835 Heman, Ruth and their five children moved to Attica,Seneca Co., Ohio where Heman died in the fall of 1835. Their last child a son named Joseph Heman was born on 8 May 1836. If you are descendad from any of these poeple,please write to me. I have more information on each of the Kelley children. Also alot of information on the Lapham line. Daniel married a Matilda Billings daughter of Jallier Billings, on 30 Dec 1847. In Attica, Seneca Co., Oh. Their son George born 15 Nov 1848, is the only child I know of that got married and possible had children. Would like to correspond with their descendants. Were able to find out if he had any brothers and a sister? Have you found any of them in cencus records. My ggrandfather was quiet a stepper also maybe that is why it is hard to trace them. I know he had another wife or live in but they will not respond to any of us. Do you know what tribe your Native American ancestors were? We have also been told on my mothers side they were Cherokee however I kind of think they are Osage been working on this for years, right now I am chasing the name Dunn in Kansas. Author: chrisbk28 Surnames: kelley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.kelley/5020.1.1.3.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: my grandfather benjamin kelley is still living. he had to siblings charley kelley and a sister daisey. my grandfathers father was benjamin kelley. he died in atlanta in 1974. his legal residense was still in toombs county vidalia ga. he was married to jeanette kelley (lewis). he had a brother stephen kelley jr born in vidalia in 1904. he relocated to tampa florida as an adult. i must say these kelleys were multi racial native american black and white. some members were said to have passed off as white and left the area. my great grand father benjamins father was stephen kelley sr. born in vidalia around 1873. I was told he was married to a adeline. cant find mention of a adeline except in atlanta in the 1910 census maried to a isham kelley in atlanta which they were listed as mix raced. stephen sr is listed in the 1910 census living in vidalia married to georgia with a son stephen jr born at the right time. maybe the spouse name was a mistake who knows. Stephe! n sr had siblings i just cant get the info. someone took the family bible i heard. i dont even know who his parents were. i need alot of help. What year was your grandfather born? What were his parent's names? Do you know when the parents were born or died? What were the names of your grandfather's siblings? What state were they born in? Do you know what years they were born? What years did they die? Where did they die? Should the search for your grandfather and his siblings and parents be limited to GA or did your grandfather and his siblings branch out and move to other states? You mentioned Benjamin and Stephen Jr. died in Tampa, FL. Where and what year were they born and what year did they die? How are they related to your grandfather?
