Most of my family is in Kentucky, but I have seen references to my 4G grandfather coming from North Carolina. Have no other information after a year of looking, kind of frustrating. Looking for alternates of what this could be besides Lingo...meaning misspelling, miss heard, etc. or anyone who may have a link as well. I know George Washington Kelley (g.g.grandfather) enlisted in the 11th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment and mustered in at Piqua, Ohio in 1861. I have a panoramic picture of Franklin, Ohio that indicated that he might have been born in Franklin, Warren County, Ohio but no additional early information. George was married in 1872 in West Liberty Ohio so I kinda doubt it's the same people. Thanks anyway Chris Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm sorry Cris. I have been through all my Kelley family. I do have a Samuel, George Washington and a William but I find no connection to your Kelley family. Isaac was born in Dent Co., MO abt. March 16, 1854 and died February 15, 1927 in Wayne Co., MO. He was buried in Piedmont, MO. The information above was taken from his death certificate and was furnished by F. C. Yates, relationship to Isaac Kelley unknown. The undertaker was Yates Und. Co. Isaac was listed as married at the time of his death. His wife was Martha Leonard, daughter of Paul Leonard and Elizabeth Calvert. Martha was born October 19, 1858 in Ste. Genevieve, MO. My last sighting of Martha is in the 1930 Wayne Co, MO census living as a 71 year old widow next to the Walter E. Dace family. I cannot find a death certificate for Martha Leonard in the State of MO database anywhere. I have no information on her death at all. I suspect she died shortly after this 1930 census and may possibly be buried in Piedmont with Isaac. At the time of her death, her closest Leonard r! elatives would have been in St. Francois Co., but I have not found anything of her death there either. I believe Isaac Kelley and Martha married March 5, 1884 in St. Francois Co., MO. Does anyone have death information on Martha Leonard Kelley, wife of Isaac? No, I havent talked to aunt Laura mae in years, she lives in Florida now. I know grandpa died in 68 and was born in 1897...I also have a social security number for him, this was on familysearch.org. I found out from my brother Harry that Gladys Bell Kelley married a yerington, and died of spinal meningitis. But everything is cloudy as to who the great grandparents on either side were: I found some possible leads for the Howard side in georgia and Arkansas...but I'm not sure exactly when grandma was born or died...possible bday is 1902..death sometime in 1940's.
