Patrick Kelly, b 11 Jan 1856, Hazleton, PA, moved with parents Mr and Mrs Thomas Kelly at age 3 to Soldiers Grove, WI. In 1881 married Katherine Kelly/Kelley, she died 3 yrs latter when her only child was born. In 1892 he married Mary Ann McCabe, she died 1901 at Soldiers Grove. Patrick moved to Dickey County, ND in 1908 where he farmed, he died in Frederick, SD on 30 Nov 1938. This information came from his obit. Looking for information on gggrandfather HARMON KELLEY b abt 1816 in NY. He was mrd (?) to ELIZA COOL and they had a son JOHN KELLEY. I have census records showing HARMON with ELIZA in 1850 in Yates Co, NY. He disappears after that 1850 census. While surfing the net one evening, I came on a reference to a HARMON KELLEY whose name is listed on the side of a Civil War monument in Angola, IN. I am Joseph Cornwell and I descend from Jacob Kelly and his wife Susannah Allen who lived in Jasper Co, GA. I am seeking more information about my Kelly line. Jacob's father was Joseph Kelly and was in Edgecomb, Co, NC in 1758. He left a will, probated 6 Jan 1795 in Clinton, NC. Jacob's mother was Elizabeth. Jacob was born 4 Mar 1755 probably in Sampson or Robeson, Co, NC, he served in the Revolution, and he died in Jasper Co, GA on 11 Nov 1835. Jackie, Your mail kept bouncing back so I am trying this through the group. I apologize to others if this information is not wanted. I think we might have a match of family. I think that Elias and William could be brothers, however. I don't have any direct facts that said John Thomas lived and died in Altus. But, I do know that his daughter married a Clinton Succratus Cagle and she died in Altus. My mother-in-law, JT's granddaughter, was born in Altus. So if I were a betting person, I would say that we need to explore this relationship deeper. Are you sure about your JT dying in Altus; that's the only piece that doesn't fit. I am not absolutely sure about mine. I think that it came from my mother-in-law. She just found all of her family information that had been misplaced for a couple years or so and I should have access to them in a month or so.
