Erp, sorry, her parents were Luke Kelley and Elizabeth Sidebottom. >http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/1410/myshea/7a.html > >Caroline Kelley, born in 1839 in England or Ireland
The web page is here: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/1410/myshea/7a.html Caroline Kelley, born in 1839 in England or Ireland (depending on who you believe), moved to Springfield MA and married Matthew Shea on May 13, 1861, Chicopee, MA. They settled in North Attleboro, MA and had a bunch of kids. I can't find any more information on Caroline ... does anybody have a Caroline from that time period? Lisa

I am looking for any information on Green Berry KELLEY who was born in MD or VA about 1740. His only child of record was Mary Kelley who was born in 1765. She married Jerimiah Selvage/Selvidge in 1788 in Augusta Co VA. They would later move to eastern Tennessee and raise their family there. There would later be a Green Berry Kelley living in the same general area of Tn as Jerimiah and Mary. This Green Berry was of the right age to possibly be a son of Mary father. Anyone with knowledge of this Kelley family please contact me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Gary Hawley
Hi everybody, Anybody a Lorenzo Dow Kelley who was born about 1846? We found one, he's not ours, so thought we'd post what we know in case someone else can claim him. We do have a Lorenzo Dow Kelley in our family, who has a father named John, but this one isn't ours. We had thought he might be and my cousin visited the national archives to copy his military and pension records. He was several pages into the pension record when he realized that the names he was looking at didn't mesh with the rest of what we knew. He says he kept the pages he copied and will send them to me to send on to anyone else who might belong to this guy, if I can find someone. The Lorenzo Dow Kelley whose papers were copied was 18 years old when he joined the 10th IN Volunteer Infantry, Co. B. He died of measles in 1864 in either Evansville, IN, Jeffersonville, IN, or Louisville KY. He is identified as dying in the hospital at each of these places on various documents. His father, John P Kelley was in Wisconsin at the time of his son's death, so an uncle, Henry Wert, picked up his personal effects. Later, his aging father applied for a pension based on his son's sacrifice, being so poor he was on county welfare at the time. In those documents it is said that John P. Kelley was born about 1815, was married in Ohio in 1840, lost his first wife in 185i5 and remarried in 1856. He fathered 4 other children besides Lorenzo Dow Kelley, and died in 1897. If these papers can help you with your research, let me know, and I will be happy to ask my cuz to pass them on to me, so I can pass them along to you. Hello I have a copy of a birth registration in County Longford, It gives the birth as Twenty Ninth of August 1865 Ballymauriee, Parish of Granard. I have tried to find a townland that comes close to the spelling of Ballymauriee, but have had no luck. Am I right in assuming that Ballymauriee is a townland. What would it sound like phonetically? Thanks for any help you can give me. Liam J. Kelley
