    3. These records were found by doing a search of the USGENWEB Archives, located at: USGenWeb Archives Search Page http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ussearch.htm In this case, for the Query, I entered: KELLY and then selected the State = VA. This resulted in 167 different websites with the name KELLY found on each of those pages; coincidentally, the name KELLEY was also found on many of the same pages. 1. FORGIVENESS
    2. This is an interesting subject lately since there are so many "bleeding hearts" out there more than ready to forgive anyone for anything, no matter whether they have asked for it or not! Maybe we should not be so eager to forgive...until we hear a person actually apologize and admit they did something wrong. It took Clinton almost a year to admit he did anything wrong. The person who posted the "inapropriate joke" has admitted no wrong and has not asked for forgiveness. You could be wasting valuable empathy, sympathy, and "open arms" for a prodigal who hasn't come home! Now...please forgive me for wasting the Kelley list's time, I really do want to get back to geneology.

    1. John Kelly m Hannah Moon : 1782, Guilford Co.,NC
    2. ORIGINAL MESSAGE I am looking for the Family Tree Maker site where I am told that a Marriage date of July 10,1782 is given in Guilford Co.,NC for John Kelly and Hannah Moon. I have been unable to locate this site. Can you Kelley Researchers help me out. Thanks, Raymond Kelly REVISED MESSAGE I need to clarify my earlier request. I bought the Family Tree Maker, 10 CD Deluxe Set and searched all those CD`s and then went to the Family Tree Home Page Online and have been searching those sites/pages in Family Finder, World Family Tree, User Home Pages, etc. So far I have been unsuccessful. The Marriage Date would almost surely have come from some dedicated Moon Researchers Home Page. I am hoping to get directions to the right Family Tree Maker User Home Page as a result of this post. My search of The Family Finder alone yielded over 2000 hits on John Kelly. As a novice Family Tree Maker User I see it is going to take an awful long time without outside assistance. Best Regards, Raymond Kelly

    3. Anyone who apologizes or asks for forgiveness must receive it. It is our duty to forgive. If we do not, than we are more wrong than anyone no matter what the issue. It takes love and trust to ask for forgiveness. A sign one is willing to learn and grow. It also takes love to forgive. And, love is good. So I forgive. 1. KELLEY List purpose
    2. Paula Ward
    3. This is in reference to the posting: "I thought this cute" ... The reason for the existence of the KELLEY - KELLY list is to discuss genealogical problems relating to the surname, occurring at any time and in any place. Please keep in mind that everything that is posted to the list is saved in the KELLEY List Archives. It isn't a joke list. There are other lists for that purpose. That is not to say that researchers don't have a sense of humor. Of course they do. Let's stick to the purpose of the list...and remember, tread carefully when dealing with any KELLEY descendant. We all know the ancient meaning of KELLY: warlike. :) Please...no more "me, too!" postings, either. Thanks. 2. Dear Beloved Kelley cousins: I agree about the inappropriate joke. I get hundreds of such jokes every month sent to me by others as standard Email, but they are directed to me...not a whole list of people. I can laugh at them, share them, or trash them. The next time you share a joke PUBLICLY, picture yourself in a room with 5,000 people. Is this a joke you would tell to a few friends in a corner, or broadcast by microphone to the entire group, from the stage...with everyone watching you? The same rules apply to the Internet...you don't know all those people, so don't pretend you know their taste in jokes! It's lonely on that stage when you blow it!

    3. Sorry, but I find "I thought this was cute" HIGHLY OFFENSIVE and totally inapprorpiate for the Kelly list!!! Wonder if you'd find it so amusing if it were about you Irish ancestors? I'm no prude, but the language is also highly inappropriate for this list.

The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste At the holiday parties had gone to my waist. When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber). I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared; The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared, The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please." As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt And prepared once again to do battle with dirt--- I said to myself, as I only can "You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!" So--away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip Every last bit of food that I like must be banished "Till all the additional ounces have vanished. I won't have a cookie--not even a lick. I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick. I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry. I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore--- But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot. Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet! --------------C6294F2A1FA4DF7A2B1B11A0--

    3. ISO of anyone with knowledge of the Felix McManus KELLY, born abt. 1874 Texas d. bef. 1952. He married a Jennie, maiden name unknown b. Louisiana abt. 1878. They were married date unknown but, should have been at least prior to 1904. At least one daughter is known, Gladys born in 1904. ISO of anyone with knowledge of Charles William KELLY, born abt. 1876 in Texas death unknown. He married a Lillie Belle, maiden name unknown, also born in Texas abt. 1879. Marriage date unknown. At the time of the 1920 Census there were no children found on the census. Felix and Charles are found in the Fayette County, TX 1880 Census with parents and siblings. They are both again found with wife or wife and child 1920 Los Angeles County, CA Census. I am pretty sure they both were railroad men with the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. After 1920 they could have gone just about anywhere, as well as could have been anywhere prior to 1920. They most likely were not in the service of the railroad after 1937. They are not listed on the Railroad retirement boards files.... I utilized Census records to glean the dates of birth and wife and child from. I only suspect their deaths were prior to 1952 because their brothers obit (my great-grandfather) didn't mention either name. It, however, does mention the brothers and sisters names who were still alive. If you have any information which may be of help please let me know...and may all of you have a safe and joyous holiday season.... Mike Kelly firewalker@gibralter.net
