    1. KELLY/KELLEY, Lawrence m. PARKER, Adeline
    2. Tammy Acker
    3. I just found out the names of my 4th great grandparents, Lawrence Kelly and Adeline Parker. My 3rd great grandmother was Kathryn Kelly born in MO. Her death certificate states that her father was from Ireland and that her mother was born in KY. Kathryn Kelly married Peter Julius Hartman(n) probably in MO, they later moved to Detroit, Wayne Co., MI where they both died. Kathryn had at least one sister whose given name I do not know. Her married surname was Dutchmandy and I believe her husband's name was John Dutchmandy. If any of you Kelly's know any more about my 4th great grandparent's, please let me know. 1. KELLEY: David 1750 NJ/NY
    2. Bob & Jill Michielsen
    3. Hello Kelley seekers, My request is for information on the KELLEY family of New Jersey, possibly in the Somerset County area. David Kelley was born abt. 1750 and died September 14, 1826 in Ovid, NY. These Kelleys were with the Dutch families such as the Brokaws, Coverts, Strykers, etc. That is all the information that I have for him, except a list of his children, one of which was Zacheus born 1770 NJ and died November 15, 1857 in Romulus, NY married to Margaret ?. Any information on his family would be greatly appreciated. Jill

    1. KELLEY: PA or CA, Edward "Buzz" &...
    2. Aeronautic Pictures
    3. I know I've posted this before - but perhaps there are new readers out there: Looking for Edward "Buzz" Kelley or any and all relatives, cousins, children or siblings, etc. He is my biological father. The best information I've got is that he was born in PA around 1937, making him about 61 now. I was born in the Los Angeles area in the spring of 1963 - and as the reports have it - conceived in the vicinity some 9 months earlier. He most likely spent some time in the U.S. Army, had a career after his military service as a salesman, and goes most often by the nickname "Buzz." I'm not interested in anything from him other than insight into my Irish roots, and other family such as sisters or brothers that may exist. I would really appreciate any help you folks could lend. Kind regards to all, Craig Schmitman aeropxs@pacbell.net

    1. Thomas Kelly/Kelley
    2. Family lore is that Thomas came to the US by ship around 1800, met an English girl on board ship, possibly last name Benton. They eloped against her parents wishes and went to Kentucky (or possibly Tennessee). His wife was killed by Indians around 1812, their daughter Winnifred was born around 1809 and was raised by her maternal grandparents. Per census, Thomas was living in Schuyler County, Missouri, in 1850 with a wife, Letticia, he was 79 years old and Letticia was 76. They lived with Winnifred and her third husband, Stephen Ruddell. The Ruddells took the Oregon Trail in 1851 to the Puget Sound area, nothing indicates that Thomas went with them. Looking for: Thomas's birth, death dates, parents names, first wife's name Winnifred's actual birth record Karin Morey, Oregon City, OR

John was born in Iron Mills near Killarney. He was the brother of Mary, Patrick, Dennis, and Bryan (there may have been another brother). In Ireland they went by KELLY, but my ggrandfather Patrick went by KELLEY. John may have lived in Massachusetts for a time, but he raised his family in Chicago. I know of two of his daughters, Lu and Florence. I would love to hear from their kin. I have recently had luck with finding my father's cousin in Ireland. She lives on the farm that John emigrated from. I would now like to find out more about John. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Thanks, Patsy

    1. Kellys from Ballinderry, Galway Success Story
    2. Lorraine Conroy
    3. Hi, I have found most of my dad family in Galway. He was Patrick J. Kelly and he was in the coal business in Queens,NY. (Just a little guy) His father was John Kelly from Ballinderry, and he use to send money back to the family in Ireland to help them out. He had 9 children here and my dad was the oldest. John died in 1916 when Patrick was only 18, that meant a big job had to be fill by him for his mother and sibblings. I as his daughter am very proud of him, as he help raise all his brothers and sister and married and had 8 children of his own. He also took on the job of sending money back to Ireland. I sometimes wonder how he did it. He was a one man business. In 1997 I had the pleasure to go to Ballinderry, Galway and meet many of his cousins who never met him and they treated me wonderful. They even had old pictures of my dad & mom and sister from 1920's, and they had never meet him, but they felt like they knew him due to his helping hand. Well it makes me think how did he ever manger the huge task that he took on. My dad is now gone 41 years and they still remember him in Ireland, this is what I call a Success story. Just Good Irishman's daughter. Lorraine
