    1. Kelly of Tnn and Mo.
    2. I know there was a John Caperton Kelley who appears in some records in Lincoln Co., TN (Lincoln is beside Franklin Co.). I am related to a John Kelley who lived in Lincoln Co. I wonder if they are related or possibly the same person. Do you have any children listed that belonged to John Caperton Kelley. My direct ancestor is a Henry Kelley, b. 1796 in S.C. and I know his father is John, but John being such a common name, I'm looking at every John in the vicinity. Could you give some more info? 3. Hi, I am new to the list. I am looking for any information regarding the Jesse Kelley family. He was born about 1840. He married Martha Jane Callen on December 27, 1865 in Fremont County, Colorado. Their children were John, Ella, Levi, and Pearle. Jesse Kelly died in 1913. I believe that Jesse and his family might have originally come from Appanoose County, Iowa to Fremont County, Colorado on a wagon train with the Callen family in 1864. Thankyou, Robyn -- Dan and Robyn Asimus 251 Washington St. Golden, CO 80403 mailto:Asimus@bigfoot.com

    3. Hello Cindy, I'm not sure how big Kilkenny is, or how large the O'Kelly clan there, but from what I've seen that is the smallest group of Kelly/Kelley in Ireland. The one hard fact I have about my Peter Kelly was he was born in Kilkenny Ireland in 1750. He came to MD in 1766 and ended up in the South. I wondered what you knew about the Kelly families in Kilkenny? 2. Carole Hammond
    3. Timothy KELLY, (b. abt. 1812) and Catherine DALY or DALTON, (b. abt 1814) married around 1832 somewhere in Ireland, perhaps in the Dublin area. That's the only place their son Mark ever mentioned. In Ireland they had Michael, Ellen, John, Patrick, and Bridget. Sometime between Bridget's birth in 1841 and James in 1844, they immigrated to Canada, settling in Alfred, Prescott Co., Ontario. Mark and Catherine may have been born in Alfred. They were Roman Catholic. On Mark's marriage certificate transcript in Alfred in 1885 his mother's maiden name is given as DALY but in the church burial records in the 1880s her name is given as DALTON. Were there two Catherines, or was the Mark's marriage certificate in error. I would love to contact someone doing research on this family either in Canada or in Ireland. Thanks, Carole in Oregon

    1. KELLY - ROS,IRE>MD 1870's
    2. Looking for the parents of Luke KELLY, my great-grandfather, b. Doonard Beg, Strokestown, County Roscommon, Ireland. He possibly was the son of Luke and Mary FOX KELLY of Co. Roscommon. The younger Luke m. Jane Frances MCGUIRE of Fairbanks, Ballyfeeney, Kilglass, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon. He came to Baltimore, MD in the 1870's and died in Baltimore in 1898. Would love to verify his parents and find and siblings. Also looking for the parents of Peter KELLY, another great-grandfather, supposedly b. in Baltimore, MD. He m. in the early 1850's Bridget NUGENT, who was b.in Ireland, and he died in the 1880's in Baltimore. He had three children: Mary, Joseph, and James, my grandfather. I assume the KELLY's were originally from Ireland and one family story says that the KELLY's, WALSH's, FARRELL's, and the O'GRADY's, all cousins, came over from Ireland together, but so far I haven't been able to prove this. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Mary Jean MGard99840@aol.com
