Finally! All my kin came from McMinn, Bradley Cty, Cleveland and that general area. I would love to be included in this research since I am having difficult time going past my Grandfather Wayne Newton Kelley. I would be glad to email you all I know of his brothers and sisters. Most of my Kelley's are buried in Cleveland at Fort Hill Cemetary. We finally wound up in Chattanooga. Thanks! I will pass your info. along to her. She recently sent me info. that ties another Washington Co., TN Kelley/Kelly family to Bradley Co. and I do believe it to be incorrect as well. The bulk of my own data (direct connection) concerns Kellys/Kelleys in McMinn and Bradley Co., TN prior to 1850 and in Georgia after that. Though I do have Kelly/Kelley data post 1900 for Washington Co., TN and well as several other TN counties (indirect connection). Post 1850 Bradley Co. Kelly/Kelley data has been sent to me via other individuals. Regarding this specific data, I will pass your info. along to her. I do not remember right off hand whether she was directly connected to these Kelley's or not.

I, too, am researching Kelley's in Rome, Floyd County, GA. My g-grandfather was Andrew Jackson Kelley. Please let me know if you have an Andrew in your line. My Andrew (A.J.) left GA and was in the Cherokee Co. Alabama census in 1880. He arrived in Arkansas sometime in the 1890's. Linda
Would you happen to know his wife's first name? You will probably find a lot of messages from me over the years. I kept hoping that you woudl read one of them, and by golly, you did! I just emailed you about how I found out about you, and I forgot to tell you that Art visited Mom and Pat when he was in the navy, and he told Mom that he had had a daughter, Margaret. So I started looking for her, and then Virginia told me about you. I have never had any luck finding Margaret.

Naturalization Records - After 1906: USCIS (formerly INS) files, known as C-Files, include a duplicate copy of all naturalization records dated after September 26, 1906. All C-Files contain at least a copy of the Declaration of Intention to become a US Citizen (to 1952), Petition for Naturalization, and Certificate of Naturalization. Occasional files contain additional documents or correspondence. C-Files include all US naturalizations from all States and Territories, and from all courts (Federal, State, and local). INS maintains an index to the C-Files, and can retrieve individual records based on name, date of birth, and place of birth. C-Files from 1906 to 1956 have been microfilmed, and are available via Freedom of Information/Privacy Act request to INS Headquarters in Washington, DC Information about making a request is found here: http://uscis.gov/graphics/aboutus/foia/request.htm Paula Kelley Ward KELLEY List Administrator since 1996 [email protected] "He is insane, of course.
