    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Kelley, Smith, Henderson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CYm.2ACIB/2988.1.2 Message Board Post: Andrea, I am interested in any info you may have on the Kelley's that moved to Newton County, Arkansas. That's where my father-in-law's family was believed to "originate" from, and I'd like to see if this may be a link to getting past my f-i-l's dad in my search for his ancestors. Thanks for any info you can give me. My f-i-l is Gerald Weldon Kelley, he was born in May 2, 1927 at Yellville, AR, and married Geneva Lee Henderson on August 9, 1947. His father was Homer Jewell Kelley, he was born Jul. 22, 1906, at the homeplace outside of Yellville, AR. He married Erbie Beatrice Smith in around mid 1920's, she was born around 1897. Homer's dad could possible have been William Henry Kelley? Dad Gerald is getting forgettful, and doesn't really remember much. Anyone got any info for me? Thanks

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CYm.2ACIB/2868.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Hello Jan I was so glad to hear from you .I thought maybe you had given up on family searching. I don't know much more than what I put in my original message, but will recap just in case I forgot something or some one. I will work my way backwards from me to John Logan Kelly. This won't be much, but worth a try. Me: Diana Dutton My father: John Logan Dutton Born Idaho Falls,ID. My Grandfather:John McConnell Dutton Born Nov.23,1890 in Cedar City, UT. My Grandmother: Ruth Manilla Kelley Born about March.12,1894 to 1896 in Storm Lake, IA. My Great Grandfather: John Logan Kelley My Great Grandmother: Florence Alena ( Harper ) Kelley My Great Uncle Thomas Leroy Kelley Born Dec..21,1895 in Storm Lake, IA. I'm real sure that all the above is right. But I have some things I've found that I'm not sure of. These are just may be. 1. GT grandfather John Logan Kelley mite have been born in IN. 2..My GT Grandmother birth date mite be <1874> Place IA. 3. Her father mite have been Orange Harper Born <1845> in IN. 4. Her mother Martha J.Lee Harper Born <1846> IN. My family is made up from The Dutton, Kelley, Walkers and Raty families. The Kelley and the Dutton Family I think mite have been following the LDS church to UT. and worked in the mines or railroads. I know that the Dutton Family came here from England because of the LDS church. I can find my Dutton family living in England in 1700. The Kelley, Dutton, and Walker families lived next to each other in UT. The Walker and Raty families came from MT. All four Families end up in Idaho, where the Dutton Kelley and Some Walkers raised families. The Dutton and Kelley families were sure to bring all their loved ones home no mater where they died. My Grand mother Ruth Kelley died in Calif. and they hurried her home to rest. Jan if you have any thing on these families I'd be thankful for your help. Hope to hear from you soon. Diana

They were Timothy & Catherine Kelly but I have no way of knowing if they were ~my~ Timothy and Catherine. Their children weren't mentioned. My people ended up in Alfred, Prescott Co., Ontario. Michael b. abt 1834; Ellen b. abt 1836; John b. abt 1837, d. 1872; Patrick b. abt 1838; Bridget b. abt 1841, all in Ireland. 3. Hi, I am a diligent reader of this list, but have very little information to start my search. I know that my maternal great-grandfather was G.W. Kell(e)y and he lived, at least for a while, in Central, SC. His wife was Mamie, and children were Grace and James. They were divorced and Mamie married a Mr. Landreth. The story is that the family was Kelley, and that G.W. changed it to Kelly. I doubt that this is your George, but hoped that he might be... I seen a your message posted about John Logan Kelley. this message was posted on 20 Mar 2001. Also messages in 1998, 2003 and 2004. I have been looking for some information about my great grand parents, John logan Kelley and his wife Florence Alena Harper. The only thing I know about them is that they lived in Storm Lake, Ia. They had two children my grandmother Ruth Manilla Kelley born about12 Mar 1896 and her brother Thomas Leroy Kelley born about 21 Dec 1895. ( This brother and sister married another borther and sister in the Dutton family) I did find a Florence Harper Born in 1874 in IN. Her Father was Orange Harper Born in IN. about 1845. Now this kind of goes along with your thinking John Logan Kelley and Florence Harper marring and having their first child there. Hope to hear back from you I would enjoy sharing what I know about my Kelly family . I do have two pictures of my grand mother as a child and a lady. D! iana
