Hi Did your Benjamin Kelley live in Trenton, NJ or have a son by the name of Charles? Our Ancestor is Charles Kelley born Trenton, NJ 27 Oct 1821 and we believe his Father to be Benjamin Kelley/Kelly. Herschel G. Kelley
Rev Benjamin Kelley is my 3rd g-g'father. I've recently been to Ohio County, KY and retrieved info from the Clerk's office. Also have some of the correspondence between Lyman Draper and C J Kelley and B H Kelley. These letters haven't been transcribed as yet. Any info that I have is available. My ancestry runs down from Benj Kelley to David J Kelley to Ben Kelley to Lafayette Kelly (when the 3 Kelly brothers went to Washington State between 1881 and 1889 the second E was dropped for reasons unknown to me) Pat Kelly __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thanks Ann, these Kelly's are so hard to pen down. I too have a William Kelly about the same age as the william list with this family from SC.I just need to know more about the Adair fanily. Any help you cam give I can use. again thanks. Becky
Becky, Rebecca Adair was a Kelley. I always thought she could be related to my Milly. She married a man whose name starts with a Z... She was in the area of Anderson, Pickens and Pendleton. I know someone is going to help you with this. There was a William Kelley that married a Rebecca Jennings and she could be a daughter. There is some info. on Familysearch.org about about a David O'KILLEA died 1697 in Massachusetts. Parents David O'KILLEA and Jane Powell Spouse Miss Bills married about 1693 in Barnsstable, Massachusetts. There is lots of listing for this David with many different spelling. Good luck
I do not believe that any of our participants have as an ancestor David O'Killea. However I will pass the question to our participants to be sure. Hi Maureen, I just checked the FTDNA hosted Website < http://www.familytreedna.com/public/kelley/> and it is operating ok. Perhaps they were updating their site when you tried. In addition to the KELLEY/KELLY DNA Website hosted by FTDNA we have our KELLEY/KELLY DNA Website where I post all the Participant information including Pedigree Charts. < http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~kellydnaproject/index.htm>. Please let me know if you are still having trouble and I will try yo help you sort it out. Bob and Betty, The Samuel Kelley family moved from Blount/Jefferson County Alabama to Newton County Arkansas after 1840. They were there on the 1850 census. Samuel and his wife died there between 1850-1860. All of their children who were living at that time went to Tulare County California after 1850. Your family was in Newton County Arkansas after our family had already left for California. The Kelley names you mention are not familiar to me. Sorry I couldn't help. That's where my father-in-law's family was believed to "originate" from, and I'd like to see if this may be a link to getting past my f-i-l's dad in my search for his ancestors. Thanks for any info you can give me. My f-i-l is Gerald Weldon Kelley, he was born in May 2, 1927 at Yellville, AR, and married Geneva Lee Henderson on August 9, 1947. His father was Homer Jewell Kelley, he was born Jul. 22, 1906, at the homeplace outside of Yellville, AR. He married Erbie Beatrice Smith in around mid 1920's, she was born around 1897. Homer's dad could possible have been William Henry Kelley? Dad Gerald is getting forgettful, and doesn't really remember much. Anyone got any info for me? Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CYm.2ACIB/1908.1 Message Board Post: I am trying to find info on my in-law's. My f-i-l's grandfather was as far as any one can remember a William Henry Kelley, who should have been born about 1880's-90?. My f-i-l's dad was Homer Jewell Kelley, born in 1906, so that's why I am thinking William Henry would have been born about 1880-90. Could this WH Kelley be the same?
