Because I have received a couple of messages from KELLER researchers stating that the KELLER name is Germanic and not Irish, I wish to explain why I sent the following post to the list. Sometimes the KELLER name is indeed a variation of KÖHLER, but the KELLER & KELLAR lists also have subscribers whose KELLER roots were Irish. These 2 lists were even originally formed by people of Irish descent who had previously been subscribed to the KOEHLER list that I started (& still maintain) for anyone with KÖHLER ancestors of any variant spelling.
