    1. Re: [KELLAM] Phineas KELLAM
    2. Please be aware that what I am including in this reply is from memory only... I do not currently have my files available for referrence... and therefore this must be considered as " my memory" and not proven fact. Having the above understanding, the Phineas who married Thankfull Hill had a younger brother named Zadock. This Zadock had a son named Phineas ( undoubtedly named for his Uncle) and it is this s/o Zadock that I THINK, repeat THINK, is the man I mentioned as owning land in SW PA and what is now WV.I should note that Zadock is known to have gone to eastern Pa later in his life. The reasons for this include the lack of any documentation that the Phineas that died 24 Feb 1793 in Pawlet, VT was ever in either PA or WV. Also, the land inWV was was left to "Asa Killam of Hardin Co, KY as heir at law" of the Phineas that owned the land... there is no record of the VT Phineas having a son named Asa.... or any other son that went to KY. There are other details that to me make very unlikely, if not impossible for the Phineas of VT/CT to be the Phineas Killam that was in SW PA in the late 1700s. I know this may be confusing to many but the essence is I need verification that the son Phineas, of Zadock, was indeed in SW PA as I described ... and that he had a son named Asa that went to KY who was the patriarch of a large line of descendants ( Kellam, Kellams, Kellum, Kelm,Kellems, etc,etc....) who spread to southern IN,MO,OR, CA, AR, IL etc. I welcome all ideas, suggestions, theories and and facts that will resolve this long term brick wall for so many who are searching this line.
