I had an grandmother Emma Kellum d. ~1935 who lived in Baltimore, but that was her married name. I'm sure we're not related, but this might help prevent some confusion. - Woody Kellum -----Original Message----- From: GBreen1138@aol.com [mailto:GBreen1138@aol.com] Sent: Friday, August 24, 2001 2:20 PM To: KELLAM-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KELLAM] VA Kellam's Hi, Thanks for your reply. I really don't know too much as I am just starting out. My Grandmother was Emma Kellam, her Mothers last name was Mister, they were from the Davis Wharf area. She married my Grandfather Savastion Adams who owned a saw mill that burned down in same area. They had 2 children william and Stanley. There was an aunt Mannie Bull was her maiden name and a cousin Janie that I visited as a child in that area. There has been talk that my Grandmother was related (cousin) to Admiral Bird however I am not sure how. My Grandmothers Brothers name was Willie however I do not know if that was William since I only know him as Uncle Willie. He had owned a Candy factory or store but lost during the depression. My Grandfather dredged oysters on the bay there at Davis wharf and owned property there. In his later years he lived in a one room house on the shore and my Grandmother lived in Baltimore she went blind.thanks in advance for any info you can give me re: the Kellams ,Misters etc in Eastern Shore area.
