Connie: I would like to pick your line up with John Killam b. in Wenham 3 November 1695, m. Abigail Symonds of Boxford, daughter of Samuel Symonds and Abigail Porter, 8 February 1724/25. John died 15 January 1738/9 at age 43. There son, Ensign John Killam, b. 1 May 1729 in Boxford, m. Priscilla Bradstreet of Topsfield, daughter of John Bradstreet and Elizabeth Fisk, 12 June 1764. She died in 1807 and John Killam died 11 October 1818, age 89. If you ever get back to Massachusetts, you must call me for a tour of Kilhamland. I know where your Johns and their wives are buried. It is in the little cemetery I found on the old farm bought by Thomas in 1701. It is bordered on one side by the head waters of the Ipswich River and nestled in a wooded grove. I went nuts when I discovered this hidden pearl. Somewhere in my heaps and piles, a common genealogist characteristic, is the inventory of the cemetery. I think that Samuel Killam, b. 2 April 1779 in Boxford, m. Lois Holt of Reading 29 January 1807, and died 28 May 1839, age 60, is also buried in this cemetery. Everybody had forgot about this site until I discovered old records indicating its existence. The cemetery itself has a wonderful history. I also have a copy of the original deed transferring the 100 acre property to Thomas Killam from Zerubabal Endicott in 1701. Plus I have a picture of the old Killam farm house taken at the last reunion before WW II. The house still exists but has been moved to River Rd. in Topsfield, and been completely remodeled. Your Francis Augustus Peabody Killam was the born in Boxford but removed to Manchester where your line went on.
