Wanted the board to know that I will be placing the traditional flower basket at the Kilham/Killam family burial plot at the Old Burial Hill Section of the Wenham Cemetery as I have done for years. It is the place where the original New England Kilhams/Killams in America are buried. As a change this year, I will be including on the citation "Members of the Kilham/Killam Rootsweb site" with my name. A small tribute to those who preceded our lives. I hope you all approve. Hello Rick, I'm a direct descendent of Austin Kilham. I'm interested in the Wenham cemetery. Can you tell me if you know the names of the Kilham/Killam's buried there? I have my grandfather, ggrandfather and my gggrandfather buried in Rosedale cemetery in Manchester, MA. I just wished I had known about Wenham cemetery while I was in MA last year, I could of gone there and gotten pictures for my records. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, Connie in TN. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rick Kilham <rkilham@home.com> To: <KELLAM-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2001 7:27 AM Subject: [KELLAM] Memeorial Day. > Wanted the board to know that I will be placing the traditional flower basket at the Kilham/Killam family burial plot at the Old Burial Hill Section of the Wenham Cemetery as I have done for years. Connie: While in the north shore area last Saturday and in Wenham, I did go to Manchester by the Sea. My great Aunt, who is a very young 83 and a widow, is now dating and living with a fellow from Manchester who is 85. This gentleman owns Crocker Boat Yard in Manchester, thus the visit to the town. I just love Manchester and its little harbor. We had a sail out from there last summer when my collateral cousin from Florida and her husband met me for the Kilhamland tour. I do have the complete inventory of the Kilhams in the Wenham Cemetery and I will look it up for you. It does need some explanation which I will provide. You have probably seen Deb Gunter's and my attempt at creating a Kilham/Killam data base of those who descend from Austin, and I would respectful request you participate. It is simple and painless. Just send me or Deb or both your Kilham lineage (don't worry about spelling variations) starting with yourself and going backwards as far as you can go, in your case Austin. Actually reverse that request and start with Austin and go forward to yourself. Deb will then enter in your line with your e-mail address under each ancestor from Austin going forward. The hope is to create a network of fellow researchers with common ancestors that one can quickly refer to on the net. As you can see, this has the potential for adding richer depth to your findings. Finally we have an opportunity to use the internet to create an accurate and useful research tool. I really do hope you join in on this effort. Even if you do send to Deb, please forward a copy to me, I am very interested in all lines, especially the parts containing the original Kilhams. As you have probably noted from my writings that my passion is the Colonial period relatives and I am always looking to improve on what I already have. By the way, do you also get the KILLAM-L@rootsweb.com mailings? They are quite different form the KELLAM-L mailings and more in tune with your area of research. Thank you for your efforts and mailing. I will dig out the Wenham Cemetery inventory and resend in reply to your ancestor list to me.
