Hi Dorothy, I'm not sure where Maxie is, but I gather it's some distance away from Ryton on Dunsmore in Warwickshire. I do have a remote Sheffield connection though. Ann Kellam's son, Richard Dowell (my GGGrandfather) spent some time there and in fact my GGrandmother, Rose Ann Dowell, was born there. I have no idea why he was so far away from home, but returned to Birmingham when Rose was 2. It's quite possible he was going to school or working for the railroad, but it's also quite possible he had family in the north, as I vaguely remember my Grandmother telling me something like that. It would also explain why I can't find many of the siblings. I'm also aware of another large family of Kellams, that are unrelated to mine, from Gloucestershire. I'm not sure exactly where but I can try and find out. What I do recall about them is most of them relocated to Australia and New Zealand, as many of mine did. I have no idea exactly who it might be or where they relocated to but I picked up the information from Genforum from a Laurie Kellam, who is from Austrailia. Let me know if there's anything I can do, who knows maybe we're related.
