February 7, 2001, Wednesday, Evansville Courier BENJAMIN KELLAMS Benjamin Kellams, 73, of Evansville, died Monday, Feb 5, 2001, at his home of cancer. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Leona; three daughters, Opal Ward, of Middleburg FL; and Debby Corra and Becky Clerone, both of Evansville; two sons, Bens Jr and Virgil, both of Evansville; a sister, Gertie Carlisle of Colorado; a brother, Ed of Evansville; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a m Thurdsay at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Dan Schroeder officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p m today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St Matthew Catholic Church or Deaconess/Ohio Valley Hospice Care.
