Hi, I'm a Kellum/Kellam descendant whose ancestors settled in Ga. and I would like to know where and who to contact to get a copy of the bbok. Hi Can yuou forward ordering info for the book you mentioned? Thanks
Hinch Kellems was a brother to my GGgrandfather Charles Isaac Kellems. Their parents were Asa Kellems and Phoebe Hinch which is where your Hinch got his first name. I think we made contact once before but we did not get much info exchanged. I had PC problems for an extended period and that may have been the problem. I have a fair amount of info on Hinch's brothers and their descendants... if you interested tell me exactly what you want and I will help as miuch as I can. Are you aware of the book that is being printed on the Kellems family from NY and into NC. There is a good possibility that our ASA is decended from this group. The book costs $40 and I can tell you how to order a copy if you wish. Ron Kellems
I am looking for information about Hinch Kellems. He married my ggg grandmother Rebecca Wade Aders in Perry County Indiana. They both must have died about 1880. I can't find either of their death dates or place of burials. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks June

Hi all, Just a note here, did anyone know that the real Duke in Mash was our cousin Agrippa Kellum! Way to go "Grip"! Grip is from the Elijah Kellum family. Elijah was from NC, GA to MS. I am looking up details on it now. History Channel's hour long show on "History vs. Hollywood MASH." It was all about MASH the movie and TV shows, the 12 Army MASH units in Korea. They gave the background on the movie and TV series as being taken from Richard Hooker's (Hawkeye) book, "MASH." And they flashed a photo on the screen of the doctor in Korea who the character of Duke in the book/movie came from.....Aggrippa Kellum!!!!!! They also showed 'Hooker' and the character Trapper John was based on. That was such a pleasant surprise to see our cousin highlighted...ever so quickly...but highlighted all the same. The History Channel said the tape of the show could be purchased for $19.95 by calling 1-800-708-1776...in case you're interested. Charlotte Kellum Underwood
Hi Woody and David, Both Samuel and James are found in NC research along with my Seth KELLAM, his possible siblings John, George, Job , ELizabeth, Nancy, Sarah and Mary. The names David and James still run through the GA -- KELLAM - KELLUM family even today. The birth dates you have for Samuel are good for my Seth too. I cannot find a definate link for documentation on the parentage of this line either. Kate - This James is just one of about 4 that I'm tracking in that time period. I haven't been able to exclude any of them so far. You must have me confused with someone else - I don't think my mother has ever spoken to you, and we couldn't think of a land sale to a church incident you refer to below. Sounds interesting, however! David - My particular brick is James Kellam. I found the following birth record in the "Coventry Parish Records 1736 to 1828 (Somerset County, MD) copied by Mrs. Helen Bowie Clary, Published by Mrs. Mary Turpin Layton - Kellam, James son of Samual & Mary b. Aug. 22, 1763 The dates are wrong, but it may be a useful data point. - Woody -----Original Message----- From: oliver shagnasty [mailto:OLIVERSHAGNASTY1@email.msn.com] Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2001 6:11 PM To: KELLAM-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Samuel Kellam Brick Wall I am having problems finding documentation on my Samuel. What I have was passed on to me from the Kellam reunion held in Guildford County, NC each year. The research was done I think by Mark Stewart who passed away a few years ago. Samuel Kellam b. abt 1770-1771 s/o John Kellam b 1743 d 1805 m Sarah Outtens on Feb 24 1762 b May 7 1743 Samuel m ??? Children ---- James Elizabeth Charles b 1797 John b 1802 Nelson b Jun 21 1807 d Oct 9 1882 bur. in Holt's Chapel Cem. Greensboro, NC m Sept 6 1827 to Rosina May b June 11 1806 d May 1 1882. She was the daughter of John May and Sarah Hunter. I have doc. on Nelson but still nothing connecting him to Samuel. As I said before, this was passed on to me from Mark Stewart. There are some ?? as to if Samuel was born in Guildford County NC or Somerset County MD. Also where he may have died. I have seen it posted that he may ??? have returned to Md from NC and bought land there. Nothing at all on who he married. The only real documentation I have on Samuel is John's will. Any Help???
