In the 1830 Census, there is a Jacob Keim in Canton twp, Stark Co, OH with 1 male 20-30 yrs of age, 1 male 30-40 yrs, 2 females < 5 yrs, and 1 female 20-30 yrs - possibly Jacob Keim, his wife Sarah, two daughters and a brother of Jacob. In the 1850 Census this family appears to be in Pike Township, Knox Co, Ohio. Listed are: Jacob Keim (age 53), Sarah (48), Margaret (22), Joseph (19), Franklin (14), Moses (11), Sarah (7), Martha E (3), Merry J Lewis (5), and Richard Lewis (3). Also in the 1830 Census of Plain township, Stark County, OH is a Daniel Keim with 1 male < 5 yrs, 1 male 20-30 yrs, and 1 female 20-30 yrs. In the 1850 Census, this family appears to be in Pike Township, Knox Co, Ohio. Listed are: Daniel Keim (46), Catherine (46), John J (22), Joseph (19), Solomon (17), Elizabeth (15), Levi Henry (13), Sarah J (11), Margaret (6), and Catherine M (2). Note: I have also seen this Daniel Keim spelled Daniel Keime. Given that these two families appear to move together, it is possible/ probable that they are related. Per the 1800 and 1810 Census of Adams Co, PA, John Kime/Keim Sr had 4 sons born between 1790 and 1800, and 4 more sons born between 1800 and 1810. Anyone recognize this Samuel Kimes: SAMUEL KIMES was born January 1829 in OH. He stated his parents were both born in PA. I could not find him in 1860, but in 1870 he was living in Lincoln, Lancaster Co, NE... in Twp 10, Columbia Co, WA, in 1880... in Columbia Center Pct, Garfield Co, WA, in 1900, and in Mayview Pct, Garfield Co, WA, in 1910. The 1870 census lists him married to an Elizabeth, b. ca 1831 in IL. Census records list he married ca 1853; but was a widower by 1910. WHO IS THIS SAMUEL KIMES?
