The 1870 Perry Twp, Berks Co, PA census includes an Elias Keim married to a Caroline. Seems like they MIGHT BE the couple in question. Here's some info on them: Generation No. 1 1. Carolina Scherer was born 26 January 1834 in Berks Co, PA, and died 16 June 1918 in Berks Co, PA. She married Elias Keim 04 December 1858 in German Reformed Congregation, Kutztown, Berks Co, PA, son of Johannes Keim and Magdalena Blum. He was born 05 June 1826 in Berks Co, PA, and died 29 March 1896 in Berks Co, PA. Child of Carolina Scherer and Elias Keim is: 2 i. John S. Keim, born 05 September 1859 in Berks Co, PA; died 11 December 1931 in Berks Co, PA. Sarah Shearer must have been Caroline (Scherer) Keim's sister.
