Of particular interest is one Stephen Kimes listed on tax records for Salisbury Twp, Lancaster Co. State archives list the following: 1800 Heaven (sic) Kimes, freeman L5 1810 Steaven Kimes (sic) L5 1811 Stephen Kimes L66.0.40 1812-1813 Stephen Kimes L66.0.20 1814-1816 not listed This indicates that Stephen Kimes was living there from some time in 1800 until about 1813/1814. He should be listed in the 1800 and 1810 censuses, but I've not yet found him. I've tried searching the index using various spellings for KIMES and Stephen. I've checked each page of Salisbury Twp. NO STEPHEN or anything even close! Was he living w/someone else? Was the name so misspelled he can't be I.D.ed? Any other possible reasons he would not be listed?
