Something to think about. In the 1940s my grandfather bought land in Florida and, as far as we can determine, owned it until at least the late 1950s, yet he never left Nebraska in all that time. We think he was probably land speculating, cuz I have a letter from a company offering to purchase the land. No one in the family knew he'd owned land anywhere besides Nebraska until after my grandmother's death when the papers were found among her things.
