my brother Henry, g. g. son of Jonas Keim from Peoria, Ill. died in November. I believe, anyway he was adopted 2 times. When his wife divorced him, she threw all his only pictures of his family on the curb and someone came along and took them-the dumpster guys. He never was able to regain any of the pictures so we lost the pictures for a lifetime as he didn't find us until 1991 and he was born 1946. there were 6 of us but 4 of us were adopted into other families. I was watching a genealogy podcast (roots television) --they told a story of a genealogist who had died leaving behind 40 YEARS of research...the family didn't care about it, didn't want to be bothered with it and BURNED all of her research, family bible, photos!
