I have no idea who this George W. Kimes's father was... he's really hard to I.D. Most every record listed his age differently. I'm not certain, but think these are records for this same John Kimes: On the 1850 census, he's listed at age 37. (b. ca 1813) 1860 census, he's listed at age 50. (b. ca 1810) 1870 census, age 65. (b. ca 1805) 1880 census, age 80. (b. ca 1800) WPA record - died 1897,at age 96. (b. ca 1801) Maybe someone on this list has an idea???
