    3. You can search the online database in the same manner. Especially since LDS as recently redsigned the familysearch.org site. The IGI search is here: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp Once you select a region, for example Nort America, you can they select a Country and then a state. You can also searc a specific year or range of years. and for specific events. It is very powerful.
