Whatever the term - blazon, coat of arms, family crest; we've discussed whether there WAS one for the KEIM surname, and if so, what was it? During my visit to the local library today, I happened upon the reference, "Colonial Families of the United States of America," ed. by George Norbury Mackenzie, and since this reference has been mentioned on this list, I looked for info on our surname. Volume 4 contains a 12-page writeup on Hans Nickel KEIM's branch and along with that writeup on pg. 302-313 there is family crest shown for KEIM. To my knowledge, no one has ever mentioned this. My question, what is the origin of this crest shown in this reference? Any ideas? Cindy
