My speculation is that this John is "Old" Jacob's son. This John has a daughter Lucinda in 1850 @ 20 and in 1860 @ 28. He has a son John in 1850 @ 15 and in 1860 @ 26. One doesn't know when the census was taken or when birthdays were. Could this be the ones you are trying to place? They seem to fit. Don
