Hello Everyone, I haven't posted anything to the list in quite a long time. So far I haven't been able to connect my KEIMS to anyone else's here. I've been a lurker for the most part. So many of the names are the same but no connections. My family is from /Callicoon/Jeffersonville, Sullivan County, NY. and moved to Scranton and Moscow, Lackawanna County, PA I only know of my Great grandfather, John Henry KEIM moving here. I'm on vacation this week, so.... I started my week in the cemetery where some of my husband's family is buried. Well, I found some KEIM family stones. I don't know if they're connected to me as yet. (I haven't checked against my data yet). Milwaukee Cemetery is located in Milwaukee, Lackawanna County, PA., which is still largely farm area. The cemetery is very well kept. It is about 10 miles from Scranton, PA Here is what I found there: These are all separate stones Jacob Keim Died April 3, 1862 34 yrs 3 mos. 6 days there is an inscription in smaller letters below, but it is unreadable. It is basically bumps and few indentions now. below that it says J. A. Kiernsted, Scranton, PA (I'm not sure yet but I think that may be the stone maker) Phoebe J. Wife of Jacob Keim Died June 30, 1869 Aged 32 yrs 5 mos 16 days William H. Son of Jacob and Phoebe Keim Born Oct 17, 1859 Died Feb. 20, 1878 Mary A. Wife of John Keim Feb. 22, 1832 Nov 25, 1854 Henry B. Son of John and Mary A. Keim Died Oct 23, 1863 Aged 1 month 12 days These dates on Mary and Henry's stones are from newer stones than 1800's. So if Henry is Mary's child I believe he died in 1853. The stones look like they are from around 1930-50. I believe John remarried from these stones next. John Son of John and Anna M. Keim Died Oct 24, 1860 1 year 7 mos 3 days Sterling H. Son of John and Anna M. Keim Died Sept 3, 1860 Aged 12 days Anna M. Wife of John Keim Died Aug 23, 1860 Aged 31 yrs 7mos 3 days John Keim Born April 22, 1831 Died Nov 25, 1890 Jesse R. Hubler July 18, 1852-May 13, 1923 Wife Madge B. Hubler 1870-1957 Elizabeth F Keim Wife of Jesse R. Hubler Sept 29, 1854-May 29, 1903 (Madge and Elizabeth are on either side of Jesse) I hope this these can help someone. Faye Kizer Robbins Taylor, PA
