    2. Diane, You had forwarded the following information, in part: Source: PACKARD-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [PACKARD] Re: ruby b. keim packard born oct. 22 1892-nov 21 1976 > > Have you got much info on the Packards, such as when they came to America and things like that. The reason I am asking, is because according to my mother. Mom is a Pack>> The posting referred to here and copied to this list originated from a reply I made to the PACKARD board. This story of PACK and SC is something that I have never heard before. The following is what I have confirmed through various sources, ie: census, SS5's, and death certificates. Ruby Bell KEIM is my great aunt. 1. Leroy Alden Packard - 80. Son of Fred Alden Packard - 211 & Elizabeth Jane Slack - 212. Born 9 Aug 1890 in Brockton, Mass. Died 20 May 1965 in 1251 Pembroke Rd, Bethlehem, Pa.. Buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bethlehem, Pa. He married Ruby Bell Keim - 5, daughter of Jacob Milton Keim - 1 & Alice Jane Bartlett/ - 2, Before 1913. Born 22 Oct 1892 in Bethlehem, Pa. Died 24 Nov 1976 in Gracedale, Northampton County Home, Beth., Pa.. Buried 27 Nov 1976 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bethlehem, Pa. Religion Advent Moravian Church. They had 9 children, 8 boys and 1 girl. Many are deceased, but there are still some living. Fred Alden Packard is descended through Levi Packard of Plymouth Co., MA. He was a bootmaker. The original Packard of this line was Samuel Packard, whom arrived on the ship "Diligent" in 1638. I was able to confirm this information. I am still trying to take Jacob and Alice back one more generation. Alice BARTLETT was the daughter of Aaron BARTLETT and Jane BENNER (Presumably of Northampton Co.). Someday, my breakthrough will come. Patiently searching, Penny
