Does anyone have documentation on the birth of this John H. Kime? I have recently been to the Adams County Historical Society, located in the Lutheran Seminary Archives, in Gettysburg. Viewing the birth records of the Lutheran and Reformed Churches of Adams County, I found records of the baptisms of only three children born to any Johannes and Elizabeth Keim after 1800. They are as follows - Abraham Keim born 15 Oct 1815 (he died 6 Aug 1902) - My great-great-grandfather Margaretha Keim born 26 Jul 1825 Samuel Keim born 24 Mar 1828 Wouldn't you think that a twin of Abraham would have been mentioned in the church records? (There were also records of children born to a Johannes and Elizabeth Keim for about 40 years prior to 1800. I think we can safely assume these were not all born to the same parents, at least not the same mother.) Could there have been other children born between these three? If so, where were they baptized? Has anyone seen any records of baptisms in other churches for John Heinrich Kime, son of Johannes Keim? I would like to correspond with the person who originally found this John's birth date. Wilma Conway > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Wondering IF John H. (In the beginning, I was not careful to record references; figured I would remember WHERE the info came from!) Now, if there WAS a John H. Kime, but he wasn't part of Johannes and Elizabeth Keim's family, he must have been the son of one of the relatives living nearby. I found another John Henrich Keim, christened 04 December 1819 in Adams Co. Does anyone have a list of the KIME heads-of-household listed on the 1820 Adams Co, PA census? Cindy
