Rhodes, William Mason, and G. W. Clemens were advanced to 2nd degree ministry, S. S. Mohler was relieved of oversight of Wakenda, and in 1897--Bro. J. E. Ellenberger took over the oversight of the Wakenda church, G. W. Clemens the Pleasant View church, and S. B. Shirkey the Rockingham church. > In 1871 when Wakenda was organized, George Hoover was from Indiana and Eli Metz lived in Carroll Co., MO. Ministers and elders who have served the Wakenda Church include Eli Metz, Addison Harper, S. B. Shirkey, David Rhodes, George Clemens, William Mason, Peter Metz, I. N. Miller, S. E. Hogan, J. S. Kline, Louis Macy, Frank Van Pelt, E. G. Rodabaugh, and Oscar Early. > This list is by no means complete. I am sure there are/will be errors found.
