New thought; let's bounce it around. Penny had sent me an obit for Emily F.(Hoffman) Lane, the d/o Jennie Keim and George Hoffman awhile ago. The lightbulb finally went on today. If Emily was b.1899 Bethlehem -d. 2/11/1990 Allentown (The Morning Call 2/13/90), then Jennie was probably b. before Lillie Daisy Keim (9/1875), or was her twin ? In 1900 Owen Keim or Catherine told the census taker they'ld been married 26 years; ca.1874. Is it possible that Owen had had a prior wife, Jennie's mother, who d. before 1874? I don't see any "likely candidates" for that theory in the St.Thomas graveyard list. Emily's only survivor, according to the obit was an unnamed niece. So, I assume she had a sibling (predeceased) ? Or, is this the Husband's (Edward M. Lane) niece? Jennie isn't "at home" in 1890 or 1900 with Owen and Catherine.Is she there in 1880? Danke
