Don't have a copy of the book, but this is the same George that we are discussing in Ref, to GHEER Farm Elizabeth GHEER/GIER/GEIR/GEIGER is believed by some to be his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Musselman being his first. However, I still don't feel as though this has been solidly proven. Anyway, here is what I have on him in my database: individual Summary - 15 Feb 2001 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Name: George KEIM Sex: Male Father: Johannes (Hans) KEIM (abt 1675 - 1753) Mother: Maria Elizabeth BOLLER (1713 - bet 1779 and 1792) Individual Facts Birth 1733 Oley Twp., Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania Death aft 22 Jun 1807 (age 74) Oley Twp., Berks Co., Pennsylvania Notes (Individual) General: It is believed that this George Keim received 200 acres of the original Johannes Keim plantation in Oley Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania in a quit claim deed dated the 29th of April, 1762. In 1775 George (Jerg) KEIM owned all the land that had been owned by Johannes KEIM in 1725 and 1750. George also obtained acreage from the Penn family by patent the 22nd of June, 1807. The oldest building now on this property was erected by a George KEIM in 1835. It is located near Pikeville on Oysterdale Road just west of the Lobacheville Road intersection. This property was sold in 1895 to Moses EVERHARD (Everhand), husband of Susan KEIM (daughter of Benneville KEIM). George died in Oley Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He had at least seven children. Notes (Family #1) Marriage: George had 2 wives: Elizabeth GHEER/GIER/GEIR/GEIGER and Elizabeth MUSSELMAN. It is not known in which order that they were married, or who had which children. we can presume that George was married to Elizabeth Musselman bef 1776 (There was a George Musselman KEIM b. in 1776). My thought on the order of marriage is that George Married Elizabeth Musselman 1st and Elizabeth GHEER 2nd. My reasoning is this: George receives the KEIM homestead in 1762. He leaves the estate to his wife Elizabeth when he dies aft. 6/1807. The KEIM burial plot where Johannes (b 1675) is buried is noted as being on the GHEER farm in 1894.
