There is a listing for a Jacob Kime in 1810: 1810 Athens Co, OH fed. census; pg. 008 > > There is speculation by those of us interested in the Meigs Co. There was a Jacob KIME(S) christened: 21 May 1775, Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, MD. There was a Jacob KIME(S) living in Rockbridge Co, VA in July 1793. There was a Jacob KIME(S) who owned property: 1806, Athens Co, OH. There was a Jacob KIME(S) living in Athens Co, OH in 1810. There is a court record for a Jacob KIME(S), dated 1825, Pomeroy, Meigs Co, OH There was a Jacob KIME(S) living in Chester Twp, Meigs Co, OH in 1830 The "Old" Jacob Kimes of Meigs Co., OH disappears from records in that county 1833 - 1835. Are all the above the SAME Jacob??????? I don't know! Bill also ask: > > How do you know he was married to a Margaret? Was there a will? > The court record dated 1825, Pomeroy, Meigs Co, OH. Probably the same Jacob. And lastly, an add'l thought on Margaret..... Someone reported LONG ago a marriage listing for a Jacob Kime(s) and Jane Dewey. What if her full name was Margaret Jane Dewey! There were DEWEYs living near Belleville, VA in 1801. AND, this IS next to Meigs Co..... right across the Ohio River. _________________ Speculation in areas...... but it fits together quite neatly! Now HOW to prove all this is your Jacob!
