Cindy, Not sure if anyone ever followed up on this, as I cannot remember seeing this email prior to today! And, imagine my surprise seeing someone attempting to track down one of Rev. Samuel Kime's children. Here is a synopsis of this family: Rev. Samuel Clarence Kime b. Jan 1839 in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany, d. 1901 in Oak Grove, Wayne, MO. He became a US citizen in MO. Have not seen the immigration records. He married twice and fathered 16 children, which I have documented. Married 8 March 1860 in St Clair, IL to Martha Lovinia P Wallace, b. abt 1834, d. 27 Dec 1871 from complications of the triplets birth, buried in Thornton Cemetery, Wayne, MO. With 3 week old triplets and other small children, Samuel was not prepared to care for his children and found it necessary to farm them out to other families to raise them. Searching for URIAH, I found there was a Uriah KEIM living in Chester Co, PA. He was next door to the HOUCKs in Warwick Twp. [http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/h/o/u/Ralph-D-Houck/GENE3-0004.html] Wonder if the Uriah below was related to the Uriah of Chester Co and the Chester Co KEIMs of the early 1800's! Daniel KIME, born 1809, was the son of Catharine and George Gouger/Gauger. The only info anyone has reported on George & Mary (Gauger/Gouger) KIME's children were from an 1850 NY census. Only initials were given for the three girls: M. A. - 8 yrs. old, M. J. - 6 yrs. old, and C. M. - 3 yrs. old. This family supposedly moved to Joslin Station, IL; I've only found a Joslin in Rock Island Co, IL. Perhaps some of you connect to the Rock Island Co, IL area! Cindy
Sorry about that, I forgot to include what timeframe I am working on. Well my first know ancestor was born around 1849. So I guess that I am working on 1800-1900. Now that narrows it down, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Thanks so much for the help. I will try to go form here and see what I can come up with. Thanks again for answering me. Pam
I have been watching everyone's responses for a while and I have noticed that a lot of you have information on what county and state your relatives are from. How did you find that information? Or did you all ready know? I have another side of my family traced back pretty far, but I don't know how to get the information on where they were located, or how to get census information? Does any of you have any ideas, on how to get this info? If so, just e-mail me. Thanks! Murna dhawkslady@alltel.net
