    2. Will of Jacob Kimes B Jan 7, 1817 D. Jan 16, 1901 I, Jacob Kimes of the county of Warren and State of Iowa, being of sound mind do make and declare this to be my last will and testament. My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executors herein after named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient. 1ST: I give, devise, and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Kimes all my property both real and personal during the term of her natural life. After the death of my wife, I desire that my son S. W. Kimes be paid five dollars out of my estate. 2ND: All the rest and residue of my estate real and personal and mixed of which I shall die seized or to which I shall be entitled at my decease I give devise and bequeath to be equally divided between and among my children. Will of Heinrich-Henry Kime: In the Name of God, Amen. I Henry Kime of the county of Bath and state of Virginia being now old, and knowing well that it's ordained once for all men to die and being in sound mind and memory do make, constitute, and ordain this to be my last will and testament, that is to say I will and desire that in the first place all my just debts should be paid out of my personal estate and that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors hereafter named. I was told they picked a trusted friend or neighbor, justice of peace, or one that could read and write to be executor. I believe Caspar was all these (but not a JP?). If it was Caspar Greismer, the Greismers were fellow French Hueganots, who fled to Germany and lived there for a time and then came to the Oley area. There is a monument/sign at Oley (think it may be near the churches there) to the first Greismers. I found several of my relatives exec. were friends or justice of peace. Gwen

Any time you desire to read the info posted on GenConnect boards, such as the will at: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/k/i/KIME/wills, you have to change the timeframe in the third box from the left to read how far back you want to search for postings. I usually set the "Period" to search to read "Several Eons." That way it produces a list of ALL the posts made since the Boards first went online.
