    3. Thought about this some more. Aren't folks aware of the FREE search engine on FTM's website; great for tracking down family info on the internet: http://www.genealogy.com/ifftop.html Anyone may use this search engine! I definitely want more details before I'm going to condemn FTM for these "alleged crimes!" Cindy

I don't have a Genealogy.com subscription so can't verify whether this is fact. I'd like to hear from some of our KEIM subscribers whether or not this is fact! It is certainly something we'd like more info on. And as for FTM putting the info on a CD for purchase, several of us own/buy those CDs. Has anyone seen such a title listed in the little magazine they send advertising the different new CDs available? I've not noticed any!

    3. Here is a newspaper article that was in paper 1899. You can put what you want on the Keim list. Gwen ______________________ Keim Family reunion--- (This is under a photo) George Kime aged 85 and wife Katherine Kime, David Wells aged 97 years Jonathon Kime aged 82 years and Kizia Wells nee Kime 90 years. Chester, Jan 12 At the old Kime homestead in Warwick township, Chester co.,Pa. near Harmonyville a family reunion of the Kime family held a day or so ago was attended by a number of aged brothers and sisters and a number of other aged people all of whom are in good health, retain all their facilities and are still able to be about the farm and do work from sunrise to sunset. The above group includes George Kime and his wife, both of whom are past their 85th birthday; David Wells and wife, nee Kizia Kime 97 and 90 respectively, and Jonathan aged 82 years. On the farm where the celebation was held the title has been in the family name for over a hundred years and there is some peculiar genealogical history connected with the Jacob Kime who took title to the property. He had four sons and two daughters. He was followed on the place by Samuel Kime, who also had four sons and two daughters, and now Jonathon Kime has title and he has four sons and two daughters. All of the Kimes have been hale and vigorous old men, Daniel Kime, a brother to the present owner of the property, then 80 years old walked through the great blizzard of March 1888 to Pottstown the distance of six miles that night his father died and he walked to Pottstown to make arrangements for the funeral. The father at that time of his death was past 90 years of age. There was also at the celebration the father of Mrs. Jonathon Kime, Samuel Crosley who was past his 82 birthday. This old man at one time owned a stage line running between Philadelphia and Reading and operated the line until after the building of the Reading Railroad and the Schuylkill Canal.

    3. Found another link so I can quit for tonight! See: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ia/Appanoose?read=773 I had this marriage listing in my database: Bial D. Kimes married Mary M. Cogner on 07 March 1867 in Appanoose Co, IA. Now from the query, we know WHO Mary was! Her maiden name was TURK and her first husband was a COGNER. Anyone connect? BTW, the only other Bial Kimes we've read about was the Bial, b. 1832 in Meigs Co, OH, who married Margaret Belle GILDART on 28 November 1852 in Meigs Co, OH. Wonder if this is the same Bial/Boyle. 2. To see when children stopped needing a Guardian when their Father died and their Mother survived, you will need to check that state's probate law. The changes in "femme coveture" were slow and in roughly the eras 1840-1890. JR Maxwell (Ohio bar 1985,Fed.bar 1986).
