I could sure use some help with Samuel Henry Keim born December 20, 1769. Could someone please tell me if his parents are indeed Jacob Keim and Magdalena Hoch? (I originally had seen him listed as the son of George Keim and Elizabeth Geiger???) I also show Samuel as married to Barbara Elizabeth Schlegal. If this is correct can anyone give anymore information as to their children? (Can anyone tell I am stuck yet? LOL) Thanks in advance... Samuel Henry is the son of George Keim and Elizabeth Musselman according to my records. Some sources show Elizabeth Gheer/Geiger as his mother. Both Women were married to George. The order is speculative. Samuel was indeed married to Barbara Schlegel. Their Children were William, Daniel, Catharine, David, Benjamin, Samuel Henry, George, and Sarah Elizabeth. Samuel and Barbara moved to Liverpool Twp, Perry Co., PA Their children lived in Perry Co, PA, Chili, IN, and Tustin, CA. > -----Original Message----- > From: Kim Kimes [mailto:mooninjamm@hotmail.com] > Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2001 11:31 AM > To: KEIM-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [KEIM] Samuel Henry Keim > > > I could sure use some help with Samuel Henry Keim born December 20, 1769. > Could someone please tell me if his parents are indeed Jacob Keim and > Magdalena Hoch? Messages have been sparse on this list for several weeks. Perhaps a note to our newer subscribers is in order. IF YOU ARE NEWER TO THIS LIST, AND HAVE NOT YET POSTED YOUR FAMILY LINE, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO. There are several subscribers that are recording information on ALL the people mentioned on this list... consequently, one of these folks MAY be able to place your family and connect you to your unknown ancestor! Normally, messages to this list are more numerous than we've seen recently. One reason may be that many of our subscribers have been monitering this list since its origination in 1997. We have shared much data over these months and we have discussed many different family lines, mostly here is the U.S. Basically, we've told all we know! If no one asks questions, we don't know what to write about! Please consider posting a query to this group, especially if you've never written about your oldest known relative! Remember, we are open to discussion on ANY KEIM (sic) family, ANYWHERE! And, thanks in advance for ANY information you can add. Cindy Kimes List administrator

Found something possibly of interest to someone. Catherine KEIM, b. Aft. 1834, was married to a GELBAUGH, first name unknown. She was the daughter of William Keim and Elizabeth Steph. (William Keim, b. 03 April 1794, supposedly in Cumberland co, PA) Wonder if GELBAUGH is just another spelling for GELBACH!
Dana, An excellent source for Beale/Beall/Bale/Bell Family records is available through most major Libraries. "Colonial Families of the United States Descended from the Immigrants", the Bell, Beal, Beale, Beall Families. Written by Lieut.-Colonel Fielder M. M. Beall, U.S.Army Ret., 1929. This is a well documented source. A Prime source for "Bell Family" Research. Most of the Bells' in the U.S., are of Scottish heritage. If not available locally to you, it is on microfiche. Maybe it can be accessed by intra-library loan ??
