Feb. 24 ,1786 - 6 years old. This maybe the Susanna. The baptism was recorded at New Hanover Lutheran Church, Montgomery co, PA, but this does not necessarily mean that they lived there as this minister traveled and preached. He had the Chester co. area and Mont. co. area to cover.

Do any of your branch's researchers have census info on Henry for 1810 and 1800? If 1810 and 1800 census info is available, where was Henry living and what info does it offer for the two boys? Any males of the "right" ages to be the boys? It also seems studying the PROBABLE route Henry Sr. would have travelled from Guilford Co, NC to Clark Co, IN might yield some clues.

ONE reason these queries were posted to this list instead of sent privately to interested parties is to serve as an example. There IS a vast amount of data available on the internet if one just starts looking! My favorite search engine for finding genealogical info is GOOGLE! http://www.Google.com/ Cindy
What's the 1819 entry on John Kimes, et. al. about? Which John Kimes? See http://www.genealogy.org/~baf/deeds/deed_index.html [have we discussed this before?]
HELP!!!!! You know I haven't researched the Meigs Co KIMESes, but several months back someone reported William Kimes was in Sutton Twp, Meigs Co, OH in 1820. Now I found William and Jacob, both listed in with Orange Twp on an 1819 tax list. See http://www.genealogy.org/~baf/misc/taxlist_1819.html Can someone explain? Did William get married in 1820 and move to his own place in Sutton Twp before the 1820 census was taken? Cindy
Bill, Didn't you have an Oliver Kimes somewhere in your branch? There's one listing on one of the Meigs Co, OH pages, but I can't figure out where he fits! Looks like he was in the Civil War. See: http://www.genealogy.org/~baf/news/pomeroy.html BTW, which township is Pomeroy in? Cindy
Anyone know if the Henry Kimes that married Ann W. Carell on 26 September 1839 in Jefferson Co, VA was the son of the William Kimes that married Sarah Boyers on 11 April 1812 in Jefferson Co, VA? Henry Kimes was born 1816 in VA; this is four years after William and Sarah wed. Cindy Kimes
To my friends that have written to me off list, my address will change (effective immediately) to jaywheel@fix.net Jean Wheeler Cayucos, CA Researching: BELL, BRILES, BROWN, CAMPBELL, CHAPFIELD, CUMPTON, DIVINE, HALL, KEIM, MCKAY, MITCHELL, RICHARDS, SHAULL, TATE, THOMAS, VAUGHAN, WHEELER, YOSTE
Cindy, I have a copy of that census and Jacob Kimes and Jacob King are both on page 114a, Orange Twp.
For now, no one is able to post to GenConnect boards, but they are still "searchable" however. Management hopes to have the Boards ready for posting within the next few days. If you are unfamiliar with GenConnect Boards, see: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/indx/FamAssoc.html This is the homepage for surnames; for other Boards, see the links at the bottom of the above URL.
Thanks Nancy and David for sharing information on my great-grandfather, Daniel William Keim. His son, William Daniel, is my grandfather. I did not know where the rest of the family fit in, but most of them are buried in the family plot in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Does anyone know anything about Phoebe Arnold Keim, my great-grandmother? Also, in which town was the feed mill on Pearl Street referred to in the Digest of Obituaries? I thought it was in Arcola, but believe Arcola is in Allen County, rather than Whitley County. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
