Going through old emails, I ran across this query rec'd back in Feb 2000: > > I'm looking for information and connections to: > > Wilhelm Keim, his wife Margaret (or Augusta Shank) who emigrated in 1848 > to New York City. See: http://genforum.genealogy.com/keim/messages/96.html These folks aren't related to me, but someone reading this might want to followup on these "sitings!" P.S. I never found these folks listed on the internet until today! Better late than never!

Willy, Thanks for your information. I've got some for you, if you want it, regarding Herbert's ancestors. Just let me know. I have some questions that you might be able to answer. If you would. Why were Herbert and Mabel buried in Mt. Pleasant instead of Neff? Did Mabel ever marry? What do you know about Vance and Mattie? What do you know about Vance's parents, George and Elizabeth? Was the Edward you wrote about Herbert's brother? Who was Boyd Kimes' parents? Thanks! For those on the list that have not been following this, these questions are about descendants of Elias Kimes of Meigs, Co. OH. Bill Bojanowski
Cindy wrote, > William started his household in 1820 with two males 16--26 maybe > a brother living with him. > >To clarify... just two males? No one else??? I wrote this when I was trying to identify the sons of "old" Jacob Kimes. William may have been one of them. The other young male in the household may also be a son of Jacob.-----Just speculation----. I also tried to identify the females in the family, couldn't. Cindy ask: > I believe Abraham's will was posted to this list back in 1997, but is it also posted on the internet somewhere? I sent it to the following site. While browsing in an old 1981 magazine I came across this article about the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. " The Boardwalk is arguably the most famous promenade in America. Back in 1870, Camden and Atlantic Railroad conductor Alexander Boardman and Jacob Keim, proprietor of the Chester County Hotel, fed up with having sand and sea water tracked into their passenger cars and hotel lobby, petitioned the city council for erection of a wooden walkway along the beach front. The council duly resolved to construct one, ten feet wide and one mile long. The rest, as they say, is history...."
