    3. Has anyone with ancestors in the Indiana Co, PA, area run across John Michael Keim and wife, Susan Fleck, on the 1850 or 1860 census? Descendant reports John Michael Keim emigrated from Wurttemberg, Germany; settled near Reynoldsville and Brookville, PA; later to South Bend, Indiana Co, PA; then moved near Shelocta. They then moved to Kimport then Cherry Tree, and later Cookport where John died. Trying to determine which are their children but cannot find John in either census. __________________________________ Yahoo! for Good - Make a difference this year. http://brand.yahoo.com/cybergivingweek2005/

    2. Cindy Kimes
    3. Back in Nov Diana sent an email mentioning a Jacob Kime's farm on the Harrisburg Road near Gettysburg. KIME was in the midst of the war (Civil War) and his house was turned into a hospital. Studying maps I located the Old Harrisburg Road near Gettysburg, now known as U.S. 15. It runs from Gettysburg to York Springs. Gettysburg is in Cumberland Twp (Adams Co, PA) but heading toward York Springs, U.S. 15 cuts across Straban Twp. So checking the 1860 census, I looked for a Jacob Kime (sic) in Cumberland or Straban Twp. Here's the one found: JACOB KIME, born ca 1826 in PA. He married ELIZA //. She was born ca 1829 in PA. Children of JACOB KIME and ELIZA // are: i. SARAH KIME, b. ca 1852. ii. JOHN KIME, b. ca 1854, PA. iii. SIMON CAMERON KIME, b. May 1857, PA. iv. MARY JANE KIME, b. ca December 1859, PA. v. EMMA CATHERINE KIME, b. ca 1862, PA. vi. ANNA ELIZA KIME, b. March 1867, PA. __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. 2. Cindy Kimes
    3. For those descended from Valentine Kime of Maiden Creek Twp--- The 1856 IA State census lists a George Wilson living beside John Kime (1791-1874). John Kime's dau, Roseanna, married a George Wilson (descendants list marriage date as either 1853 or 1855). I'm wondering if this George Wilson on the census isn't John's son-in-law. In 1860, John was living with George and Roseanna so they were in contact w/each other. Secondly... if this IS George and Roseanna, the John G. Wilson listed w/them is a child we've not heard about. See 1856 census for English Twp, Iowa Co, IA: http://iagenweb.org/census/iowa/1856/IA-1856-Iowa-English.txt Comments??? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. I have that Sallie and John KIME (m 30 May 1886) had twins on 22 Dec 1887-- Harrison and Hobson. I assume Hobson died at birth and Harrison died 15 Jul 1888. On Mar 14, 1889 in Pike Co., IN, John F KIME married Theophelia ALEXANDER. They had four children--Walter, 6 Nov 1889, Homer, Apr 1892, Josie and Sophia, twins born May 1896. John F. Kime apparently died between 1900-1910 as Theophelia is shown in Washington Twp., Pike Co., IN as a widow with 4 children. Does anyone have any further information on John F.
