You might want to check with the Wyandotte County Historical Society. They have "read" many cemeteries and published the records. I'm not sure if this is one they have done or not. I grew up just a few blocks from there at 83rd and Georgia. Anita in MO --- [email protected] wrote: > Thanks John for the clarification. Anita & John Bethel Cemetery was indexed by Joan Kuseck and is included in her book, "Wyandotte County Kansas Cemetery Records, Volume 1". The book was published in 1993. It is available in the Johnson County, Kansas Central Resource Library and most likely the Mid-Continent Library in Independence, Mo. The Kansas City, KS library probably has it also. I have the follwoing information for a contact form Joan's book and personal correspondence with the contact( in 2003). The contact was unable to provide the information I was looknig for which was the burial dates for a husband and wife who were intered there about 1928. Contact Info: Mrs. Irene Strohmeyer 2310 N 64th Terr Kansas City, KS 66104-2607 John, if you want a look up from the book let me know. I will be able to do it the week end of 16 DEC. Just post the names here in the list. Dave Goldy Overland Park, KS Anita Weaver wrote: >You might want to check with the Wyandotte County >Historical Society. Morning Dave Thanks for the info. I may call on you at a later date, but at present a Cousin who lives in KCK is going to do the look up for me.I do have a question. When I was in KCK in 1991 or 92 while looking for the Bethel cemetery we found an old abandon cemetery I seems like it was about a mile or so east on Leavenworth rd and a block or so south. It was all grown up with tall grass & brush Tomb Stones Broken and pushed over.It was heart breaking to walk through it.I wonder if it has ever been cleaned up?? I would also like to know the name of it. Thanks John Turner Hemet Ca. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Goldy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 09, 2005 12:18 PM Subject: Re: [KansasCity] Levenworth road Cemetery name (Bethel Cemetery) > Anita & John > > Bethel Cemetery was indexed by Joan Kuseck and is included in her book, > "Wyandotte County Kansas Cemetery Records, Volume 1".
