"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Saturday, December 18, 1915 DIVORCE FOR MRS. FREEMAN Mrs. Hattie M. FREEMAN, formerly Miss Hattie MELLUS of Detroit, was granted a divorce from Charles L. FREEMAN, a realty dealer, by Judge H. J. SMITH of the Wyandotte County District Court yester- day. Mrs. FREEMAN was one of the founders and former president of the Detroit Cat Club and, since coming to Kansas City after her marriage in 1909, has been a leader in humane work and an exhibitor at the Sphinx Club cat shows. Mr. FREEMAN contested the divorce and said too much of the time of his wife was taken up with her pets. He said she believed that in a former existence she had been a cat. The judge granted her the decree and $200 alimony. Mrs. FREEMAN is now in Detroit. ================================================= (I have no connection with this person but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================
