    1. Re: [KansasCity] County Home
    2. Joan, Thank you so much for your reply. I am looking for census records for my aunt, Bertha Elizabeth Hines (insane) and my Grandmother, Nettie Mae Hines. Also health records if they are available to the public. Bertha E. Hines was a residence in the Wyandotte County Home I think maybe about the year of 1927 and died in the facility 18 April 1964. She spent some years in Osawatomie because of her health, but her last years were spent in the County Home. However, she was moved to another facility some years before she passed away. Could the reason be that the Wyandotte County Home had closed? If so, where was the new residence? She is not buried in Wyandotte County. My Grandmother, Nettie Mae Hines (my family too poor to care for her) was a residence of the home from about the late 40's and died there, 13 November 1954. She was not buried in Wyandotte County. I also visited my relatives at the County Home many times. I am so grateful to you for helping me fill in some blanks of my beloved Grandmother and Aunt. If there are any fees for your search, please inform me and I would be more than happy to send the amount requested. Sincerley, Ruby Hines Trent ~ Goleta, California
