    3. I am looking for information on Walter C. FELCH and his family. Walter was born in Arkansas in 1849. He appears on the 1880 Wyandotte County, Kansas census with his first wife, Jane MURRAY, and their children: Clara, Ida, Walter, William, Maude and Pearl. Walter's second wife was Auretta WHITE. She was born about 1871 and died on May 20, 1914. Auretta is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Walter's children with Auretta are: Dewey, Hallard, Edna and Helen. I am seeking information on Walter C. FELCH and his parents. Was his mother Mary MOTT? I will be pleased to share info. Chris Mott

    3. Chris, have you seen the following posting on the FELCH message board? "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Friday, November 30, 1894 A CHILD'S HORRIBLE FATE Little Maud FELCH, the 7-year-old daughter of Walter FELCH of 654 Ferree street, was burned to death Wednesday night. Maud and her grown sister, Ida, were the only ones at home at the time. Maud was sweeping the kitchen floor and her clothes caught fire from the stove. Her sister endeavored to put out the flames, but was unsuccessful and finally ran for help. At this time Mr. FELCH arrived and found his child burnt to a crisp, with only the shreds of an undergarment remaining. He threw the poor little one on a bed and extinguished the flames. The child died an hour later. Coroner STEVENS viewed the body yesterday, but did not think an inquest necessary. The funeral will take place today. Mr. FELCH is a day watchman at Reid Bros.' Packing house. He is a widower. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Mott" <minimotts@grrtech.com> To: <KansasCity-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2003 12:14 AM Subject: [KansasCity] FELCH > I am looking for information on Walter C.
